The most recent postpolypectomy surveillance guidelines from the U.S. Multisociety Task Force on Colorectal Cancer and the American Cancer Society recommend that patients with one to two small tubular adenomas undergo a repeat colonoscopy in 5 to 10 years (Gastroenterology 2006; 130:1872).
