Abstract

Reducing the design cost is essential for disseminating wireless power transfer. However, the efficiency of wireless power transfer is complicatedly influenced by operating conditions such as the surrounding material and compatibility between the transmitting and receiving resonators. Even experienced engineers need to adjust parameters with time and effort. To overcome this problem, we propose an automatic resonator design based on current distribution analysis, which comprises a two-dimensional current distribution calculation method for the design of a highly efficient resonator and a resonator shape determination method based on the current distribution. The feasibility of the automatic resonator design and the validity of our proposed analysis are confirmed through practical design examples.
