Abstract
AbstractThe six community colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY) differ from each other but share a common commitment to serve New York City's ever‐changing population. As nontraditional institutions noted for their responsiveness to student needs, they face an uncertain future due to current contention over CUNY's open admissions policy and therefore CUNY's role as an urban public university.
