Abstract

We investigate the interaction of higher-spin fields with an external constant electromagnetic field. We use the gauge-invariant description, which, combined with perturbation theory applied to the external field, strongly restricts the possible form of interactions. As example, the cubic interaction vertex of a massless spin-2 field, is constructed, and we also give a generalization to a field of arbitrary integer spin.
