Abstract
The aim of this paper is to perform a conceptual analysis on flexisecurity as one of the most interesting phenomena today in the labour relations field. Originated in northern Europe countries’ legal systems, it has been disseminated through the employment policy pursued in the European Union and involves the diffusion of large doses of job flexibility, accompanied by certain elements of job security, especially through the mechanisms of protection against unemployment. The study concludes with a critique of certain aspects of this mechanism and how it works.
