Abstract

The nucleosynthetic p-process is briefly described from the experimental nuclear physics point of view followed by an introduction in the Hauser-Feshbach (HF) theory. The basic methods for measuring cross-sections of ( $ p, \gamma$ and ( $ \alpha, \gamma$ reactions relevant to the nucleosynthetic p -process are described and commented. New cross-section data for four capture reactions on 91 Zr, 92 Zr, 127 I and 133 Cs are reported.
