Abstract
ABSTRACT In today's business world no skills have been more touted and explored than critical thinking and ethical judgment. Here we compare the capabilities of students to think critically and make ethical decisions. These skills are interdisciplinary requiring: relevant information, quantitative understanding and emotional intelligence to process, interpret and apply results. Future thinking, the ability to project one's self into a future context and process the results of prior actions, is a cognitive ability gaining increasing importance in leadership training. In this paper, we propose to utilize measures of critical thinking, future thinking and ethical judgment, develop pedagogical modules built around ethical judgment scenarios, and suggest an empirical test of the efficacy of a model connecting these variables to a new concept, managerial maturity. The broader impact of this project will be to quantify the connection between critical thinking, future thinking, managerial maturity and ethical judgment. We will also test the impact of hybrid learning multi touch tablet technology as a disseminating pedagogy for ethical decision making. Keywords Critical Thinking, Future Thinking, Ethical Judgment, Emotional Intelligence, Managerial Maturity
