Abstract

I read the article about indoor radon with great interest and noted that the topic was comprehensively dealt with: in addition to health political aspects, construction interventions, and political necessities—such as a radon protection law—were mentioned. About a month after the manuscript had been accepted the World Health Organization published a handbook on the topic (1), in which a reference value of 100 Bq/m3 is recommended, as it is justified from an epidemiological perspective. Deutsches Arzteblatt reported this on 22 September 2009 (2).
