Abstract

In this paper we develop a general method to solve elastic three-dimensional problems for one-dimensional hexagonal quasicrystals with point groups 6mm, 62h2h, \(\)m2h and 6/mmm, including crack and indentation problems. Exact solutions are obtained by using Fourier series and Hankel transform methods. These results automatically reduce to those in the classical elasticity theory when the phason field is absent.
