Abstract

Coupled mode equations have been obtained for SAW transducers. Using these equations and regarding some boundary conditions as drivers; a multi-terminal component model for transducer is obtained. This multi-terminal model makes it possible to use “Tearing and Reconstruction Technique” in the analysis of SAW filters involving interdigital transducers and single phase unidirectional transducers. The model developed in this work, is also applied in the analysis of Distributed Feedback Resonators, the model can be used for the transducer in which coupling coefficient shows slow variation along the propagation direction.
