Abstract

Educational reform efforts aim to modernize curricula with competency‐based and technology‐enriched approaches. However, cultural traditionalism limits the potential impacts of these complex change efforts. Creative leaders could challenge the status quo and foster the conditions needed to sustain novel education initiatives. The following commentary proposes an implementable action plan that could promote creative solutions and remove institutional barriers.
