Abstract
I derive the correlation function for a general theory oftwo-valued spin variables that satisfy the fundamentalconservation law of angular momentum. The uniquetheory-independent correlation function is identical to thequantum-mechanical correlation function. I prove that any theoryof correlations of such discrete variables satisfying thefundamental conservation law of angular momentum violates Bell'sinequalities. Taken together with Bell's theorem, this result hasfar-reaching implications. No theory satisfying Einsteinlocality, reality in the EPR-Bell sense, and the validity of theconservation law can be constructed. Therefore, all localhidden-variable theories are incompatible with fundamentalsymmetries and conservation laws.
