Abstract

Abstract Dr. Patricia R. Krysinski is Assistant Professor, Department of Educational Administration, Washington State University. As a former high school principal, central office administrator, and professional association executive, she has been in supervisory experiences that deal with death. Recently the unexpected death of her husband led to a new dimension of understanding personnel practices as they relate directly to the employee. It is hoped that her suggestions and insight provide guidance to supervisors who may have employees who experience a traumatic loss.
