Abstract
The possibility of cooling the spun yarn by drawing air from the work site through the sweeping chamber has been investigated. In this cooling method, the physicomechanical properties of the yarn are not impaired. An advantage of the described method of cooling the spun fibres is the possibility of simultaneously solving problems of reducing the evolution of excess heat and of low-molecular-weight compounds into the plant.
