Abstract

Within 1942—1943 Lenizdat publishing house produced a number of practical guides introducing to residents and defenders of besieged Leningrad with the consumption of non-traditional plant foods to help starving citizens survive . Scientists — employees of the Botanical Institute, as well as food production technologists have were involved in the release . All publications considered in this article are collected in the fund of the Russian National Library “ Leningrad in the Great Patriotic War”.
