Abstract
Abstract The catalytic activity of alkali metal- and alkaline earth metal-modified NaY zeolites for production of acrylic acid and methyl acrylate from methyl lactate was investigated. The reaction pathways and the role of the alkali metals in acrylate production are discussed.
