Abstract
A technique for converting a redundant signed-digit number into conventional radix complement form is presented. The converter hardware consists of borrow-look-back and decrementer units which can easily be implemented as combinational circuits. The conversion scheme also offers an easy solution for determining the sign of the signed-digit number.
