Abstract
In this paper, control system and simulation of an arc-linear permanent-magnet synchronous machine with normal armature windings and compensation windings are researched. Considering the special structure of the machine, the mathematical model of the machine is investigated and established. The control scheme and the control system for the machine are also researched to reduce the torque ripple for travelling smoothly. Moreover, the machine and the system are co-simulated within the closed-loop control system to validate the feasibility of the control scheme. To accelerate the process of simulation, simulation based on mathematical model of the machine is also researched. Compared with the results obtained by co-simulation, the feasibility of the mathematical model and simulation model of the machine are verified, and the effect and the feasibility of the control scheme and the control system for torque ripple suppression and smooth travel motion are further validated with faster simulation speed.
