Abstract

Abstract A 15 year old block of Bing cherries was selected for this test. An application of Pydrin 2.4EC at 3 oz/100 gal was used early to eliminate predatory mites. A completely random design was used with 4 single tree replicates per treatment. AM plots were sprayed to the point of drip (400 to 500 gal per A) with handguns at 400 to 500 psi on July 12. Samples of mites were taken at weekly intervals by collecting 25 leaves per tree. Leaves were brushed with a mite brushing machine and the mites counted under a binocular microscope.
