Abstract
Power quality relevant problems are of most concern nowadays. Reasons behind the problems for the quality of power are the use of non-linear devices. Due to their nonlinearity, all these loads cause disturbances in the supply of power services, efficiency of system, power factor decrement etc. In this paper, the SRFT, IRPT, and ANFIS named respectively synchronous reference frame theory, Instantaneous reactive power theory and Adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system-based control algorithms for a three-Phase DSTATCOM are proposed for power Quality improvement in grid connection. The DSTATCOM is basically operated for compensating current harmonics injected in the supply current because of non-linear loads and also used for improvement in power factor, active and reactive balancing of power. The simulation, performance analysis, and comparison are done on MATLAB Simulink software.
