Abstract

We describe the components of a versatile kit that can be used to teach control engineering in the context of power electronics. With cloud / internet connectivity, the kit can also be used to demonstrate networked systems. It is possible to connect different loads (DC and 3-phase motors, inductors, etc). The control software can be programmed using different environments. The configuration of the kit is simple enough to be used during lectures in the classroom, or also as a home-lab kit for assignments outside of the classroom / lab.
