Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between control and illegal migration on the Peruvian-Ecuador border, Aguas Verdes-Tumbes 2021. The research was basic, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional. The population and sample consisted of 45 officials, from the Tourism Police and the National Migration Office. The technique was a survey, and two questionnaires were used as instruments, one for each variable. As a result,it was obtained that the migratory control on the border between Peru and Ecuador, has a "Low" level of 42%, and illegal migration obtained a "High" level of 31%. It was concluded that there is a moderate positive correlation between control and illegal migration, according to the Pearson coefficient of 0.8419. In addition, a coefficient of determination of 0.7087 indicates that 70.87% of illegal migration is linked to immigration control on the border between Peru and Ecuador, in the district of Aguas Verdes, Tumbes-2021.
