Abstract
Objective To find out the coping-style trait of the internet addictive adolescent and help to therapy and prevention for adolescent internet addiction by comparing the coping-style between the internet addictive adolescent and the healthy adolescent. Methods By using random comparison method,78 internet addictive adolescent( internet addiction group) and 90 healthy adolescent( control group) were interviewed and surveyed with idiosyncrasy coping-style questionnaire. The gained data were analyzed by spss10.0 and compared with x2 test.Results The every active coping factor average score and the total score of the internet addiction group are lower than the control group, and exist significance difference ( P < 0.05 ). The eight passive coping factors average scores and the total score of the internet addiction group are higher than the control group, and five factors exist significance difference. The average scores comparison and P value of the internet addiction group and the control group is as follows : they were more inclined to lose their temper when they were unhappy in their lives ( 2.95±1.00,2.17±1.10, P < 0.01 ), they were more inclined to stealthily cry when they were worried ( 2.32±0.96,2.23±1.29, P < 0.01 ), they were more inclined to be longtimely left to tbeirselves when there were conflicts (2.71±1.22,2.19±1.35, P < 0.01 ), they recalled the disagreeable matter in a long time (2.55±1.00,2.41±1.26, P < 0.01 ), they were more inclined to be on their own when they were troubled (3.13±1.18,3.01±1.45,P < 0.05 ). Conclusion The internet addictive adolescent were more inclined to adopt passive coping-style, but less inclined to adopt active coping-style.
