Abstract

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers were modified by hydroxylamine to obtain amidoxime fibers (AOFs) as the carrier, which was coordinated with PdCl2 solution to prepare amidoxime fibers supported Pd(II) [AOFs-Pd(II)] catalyst. A continuous flow reaction device was established to explore the coupling reaction of bromopyridine with styrene catalyzed by AOFs-Pd(II). The optimization was carried out to obtain the optimal process conditions, including temperature, flow rate, substrate concentration, catalyst stability, substrate applicability. The kinetic equations under continuous flow were obtained by fitting the data from the experiments using Matlab, and the reaction was determined to be a first-order reaction. Using the Arrhenius equation, the activation energy (Ea) was determined to be 7.65 kJ/mol.
