Abstract

The presented article is devoted to the study of innovative competencies - their formation and ensuring continuity in the educational process, with the aim of developing the characteristics of human resources that best meet the requirements of a dynamically changing economic environment. The author's formulations of innovative competencies, their continuity in the process of implementing educational programs of higher engineering education are proposed; the classification of innovative competencies is given according to a number of characteristics. The role functions of the subjects-participants (state, educational organization, business) are considered. The assessment of innovative competencies continuity in the system of engineering education was carried out on the basis of the direction of engineering training "Operation of transport and technological machines and complexes" (bachelor's-master's degree). The evolution of innovative competencies is demonstrated, manifested in the initial acquisition of theoretical knowledge in the chosen field of professional activity (bachelor's degree), followed by the development of research skills in the student (master's degree).
