Abstract

A result of Shirley and Stralka [11] on the continuity of surjective homomorphisms between finite-dimensional lattices is extended to binary convex structures (which correspond to median-stable sets in a lattice) and convexity-preserving surjections. An additional condition is presented for the infinite-dimensional case. Certain similarities with vector spaces lead to the formulation of a general problem.
