Abstract

Pulpotomy therapy is a widely used therapy used in various clinical settings. It is used for treating the cariously exposed vital primary tooth. Formocresol is the most widely used pulpotomy agent inspite of being a subject of many controversies. This has led to the development of various alternatives to formocresol. The objective of this narrative review is to put forward overview of the materials used as alternative to formocresol thus, providing the clinicians with better alternatives to select from the following materials for use.
