Abstract

Resulting image of the multispectral fusion method based on separable wavelets has lower spatial resolution and block traces. To solve these problems, a construction method of sampling two-dimensional two-channel nonseparable wavelet filter bank, whose dilation matrix is [1,1;1,–1], is presented and an image fusion method based on this kind of wavelet transform for multispectral pan-sharpening is proposed. Two-channel nonseparable filter banks are constructed and the sampling multi-resolution analysis of the intensity of the MS and panchromatic image are performed. The high-frequency coefficients of the panchromatic image are injected into the multispectral image. The experimental results indicate that the proposed fusion method has good visual effect and the fusion performance is outperforms the classical fusion methods in preserving high spatial resolution and global spectral information. The low spatial resolution multispectral image is pan-sharpened.
