Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of physical characteristics (oscillation amplitudes and ground response spectra) from earthquakes for the Baikal rift zone. Determination of reliable parameters of possible earthquakes during engineering and geological surveys is necessary to ensure the seismic resistance of objects in order to prevent damage and loss of life. The attenuation model describes the dependence of ground motion characteristics on earthquake parameters, distance to the source, local site conditions. In this paper the model is built on the basis of regional catalogs of earthquakes.
