Abstract

In a nonrelativistic constituent quark model we find a constraint on the mixing angle of the strange axial-vector mesons, 35{degree}{approx_lt}{theta}{sub K}{approx_lt}55{degree}, determined solely by two parameters: the mass difference of the a{sub 1} and b{sub 1} mesons and the ratio of the constituent quark masses. {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
