Abstract
AbstractWe propose a traffic control scheme for asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching systems, clarifying requirements for traffic control derived from the ATM network characteristics and demonstrating basic control concepts. The proposed scheme accepts calls based on the available bandwidth and buffer use rate, making it possible to integrate the network without classification by service type.
