Abstract

Summary The CONSER Program is actively involved in facilitating Internet access to information about serials and serials cataloging. CONSER creates catalog records for online serials and is experimenting with the use of records for print serials to record electronic access and location information. Several member institutions provide additional online access through their World Wide Web sites. CONSER also shares a wide variety of program resources via the Internet. The CONSER electronic communications network includes two World Wide Web home pages and a number of interlinked HTML documents. The CONSER Program home page also assists in the location of information about serial publications by linking to resources that access a variety of online catalogs. A section of the CONSER home page is designed to provide broad coverage of online catalogs through all the principal types of Internet access.
