Abstract

The existence of fast succesive captures of quasi-free electrons and then of positrons, previously evidenced with HgCl 2 in various polar solvents, is confirmed in methanol and in dioxane for a variety of organic halogenated compounds (RX=CCl 4 , CHCl 3 , CH 2 Cl 2 , CH 2 I 2 , and CH 3 I) by combining the two independent techniques of lifetime spectroscopy and Doppler broadening (DBARL)
