Abstract

We report that Gross motor function measure-88 (GMFM-88) could be a sensitive and valid motor function scale for Fukuyama congenital muscular dystrophy (FCMD). However, an assessment by hospital visit can make patients nervous or stressful, therefore a real motor function measure may be disturbed. Actually, patients’ families often point out that the patients can show better activity in their homes or schools than in hospital. Recently, actigraphy which could monitor a patient's activity consecutively and quantitatively even at home was developed and used in various medical fields.
