Abstract

A review of 68 cases of intrinsic duodenal obstruction from The Adelaide Children's Hospital is presented, with Particular reference to the differing Incidence of associated anomalies. In this series there is a high incidence of other anomalies associated with atresia and stenosis when compared with a low incidence associated with membrane obstruction — particularly Down's syndrome and congenital heart disease. The overall survival with surgery is 67%.
