Abstract
With recent data showing a declining number of A/I fellowship applications as well as a relatively low number of A/I clinician teachers/educators, there has been an increasing interest in A/I medical education. With a goal of mapping published A/I medical education research, this study addresses 5 questions: (1) compared to other fields, where does A/I rank in terms of the quantity of medical education research? and then, within A/I (2) what major topics are covered? (3) what teaching methods are employed? (4) what assessment methods are utilized? (5) and what is the overall publishing trend?
