Abstract

Electrical conductivity of 10 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (10YSZ) and YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) under stress were measured in the temperature range from 600oC to 800oC for 10YSZ and at 600oC for YBCO. It was observed that conductivity under stress slightly decreased for 10YSZ and increased for YBCO. In the case of 10YSZ, the conductivity change was caused by the change in mobility. In the case of YBCO, the conductivity change was caused by the change in mobility and change in carrier concentration.
