Abstract

Conductive polymers (CPs) have unique structural properties that make them widely used. The most common conductive polymers and some of their derivatives and applications are introduced in this study. Structures made of different composites are widely used in various industrial and medical fields. Their main applications include energy production and energy storage, which is the most significant research on conductive polymers. One of the best ways to store energy is through electrochemical energy. There are three major types of electrochemical energy storage apparatus: capacitor, battery, and hybrid systems. Various electrochemical systems (especially electrodes and binders) can be fabricated using conductive polymers and bio-recycled materials. Conductive polymers are used in addition to electrochemical energy storage to produce electrochemical energy, such as fuel cells. Conductive polymers have other applications such as medicine and sensors. Furthermore, properties such as flexibility, elasticity, and transparency increase their range of applications.
