Abstract
Abstract Polymonofluoroacetylene has recently been found to have a possible crystal structure in which the unit cell has a strong dipole moment. The calculation presented in this Letter shows that this polymer may also be electrically conductive in the chain-axis direction through a process of soliton propagation.
