Abstract
This final chapter is a conclusion which summarises the key arguments made throughout the book. It also highlights the links between the processes of mourning and re-performance, as well as the concept of performance as memorial. Additionally, the conclusion explores the assertion that re-performance is linked to survival and helps those who witness it find a way to survive the loss of loved ones through a process of adaptation and transformation. The conclusion once again situates the research contained throughout this book in the current cultural and political context, arguing that this context makes the research pertinent to the world in which we currently live.
