Abstract

This chapter describes the forms of its solution encountered in the development of physics and calls attention to other possible types of unity of physical knowledge. Search for the unity of science in terms of scientific-knowledge theory involves search for theoretical principles to integrate scientific knowledge rather than the study of the substance of knowledge proper in its extensive and intensive changes or trying to discover optimum forms for management and control over science. Specialization is a characteristic of scientific development. It is a characteristic of an individual's knowledge, which is largely determined by the subtleties of personal development. Specialization is particularly important in the periods of extensive development of scientific knowledge. At the same time, whenever a problem situation arises, narrow field specialization in science is useless in overcoming it.
