Abstract

A generalized methodology to create high step-up non-isolated dc-dc converters is proposed in this paper. The methodology is based on the Boost converter with coupled inductor and voltage multiplier techniques. Such combination of techniques results in an additional circuit here called gain cell, which can be also integrated to other classical dc-dc converters. In order to verify the realized analysis, a 150-W prototype concerning to a Boost converter able to operate with several different gain cells is developed for the comparison among theoretical, simulated and experimental static gain results.
