Abstract

The acidity level and the chloride anion acitivity are evaluated in H 2 O-HCl mixtures (1.0<|HCl|<12.0 M) by means of Ro(H) and Ro(Cl − ) functions. Redox properties of some M n+ /M(Hg) couples (M n+ =Ag + , Pb 2+ , Cu + , Sn 2+ , Cd 2+ ) are examined. The solvation transfer activity coefficient (f) of ions M n+ are calculated with use of the standard potential values of the corresponding redox systems
