Abstract
Microcomputer-based software was developed to facilitate the process of designing/modifying/adjusting the workplace of the seated operator. This user-friendly system makes the expert knwoledge available to the workplace designers and users. It enables the healthy as well as the ambulatory disabled seated worker to adjust his/her work environment accurately for maximum efficiency and minimum stresses on the musculoskeletal system. It also provides measurement and proportions that can be utilized when planning workplace design or modification.
