Abstract

With large numbers of nodes applied in wireless powered network (WPN), it becomes a great challenge for the orthogonal multi-access (OMA) schemes to collect data. In this letter, a novel WPN based on compressive sensing (CS) is proposed, which utilizes the sparsity of data and regards transmission as measurement. It collects the coherent measurements of sensing data from the concurrent transmission of all nodes and then recovers the sensing data by CS reconstruction algorithm, which indeed accelerates data collection. Compared with the WPN based on OMA, the proposed WPN is always superior on delay and owns higher collecting rate with the conditions of linear and sub-linear sparsity case satisfied. Further, when the allocation strategy is adjustable, a joint optimization of time and power is proposed based on maximizing the collecting rate. Simulation results illustrate the superiority of the proposed WPN.
