Abstract

1) Ultrasonic laboratory measurements of ultrasonic elastic vP carried out on serpentinized pyroxenite at 1.0 GPa from room temperature to 960 °C in a multi-anvil pressure apparatus, and four quenched products were gotten. The velocity was from 6.4 km/s to 5.0 km/s at temperatures more than 500 °C, with a remarkable decrease of 22%. At the temperature from 660 °C to 800 °C, the vP abnormally increased.
