Abstract

AbstractIn the present paper we determine the composition of dense beryllium, boron and carbon plasma by solving the Saha equations with corrections due to non‐ideality. The lowering of the ionization potentials is calculated on the basis of effective potentials by taking into account screening and quantum diffraction effects. The considered range of density and temperature covers plasmas with a very low degree of ionization up to full ionization with ions having the maximum ionization state.
