Abstract

Complexes of the type M(4-F3-NA) n X 2· mH 2O (where M = Cu (II), Ni (II), Co (II); 4-F3-NA = 4-fluoro, 3-nitroaniline; ( n = 1–4; X = Cl, Br, SCN, ClO 4; m= 0–4) have been studied by i.r. and electronic spectroscopy, magnetic and conductivity measurements. The ligand behaves as monodentate O-bonded. All the compounds are high spin and non-conductors except of the perchlorato derivatives, and have different stereochemistries.
