Abstract
Many of the benefits that come from the firm implementation of competition policy are felt by producers. Measures like elimination of anti-competitive actions and prevention of monopolies and cartels benefit firms whose business suffers from abuse. Consumers also benefit from the competition in the market that allows lower prices and better and more diversified products. There is a third benefit – the deterrence effects of CP even when it is not actually implicated.
