Abstract

Objective To compare the effects of Shu Kang Bo hydrogel paste and Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate Cream on the treatment of superficial phlebitis caused by drug exosmose. Methods 80 patients with superficial phlebitis caused by drug exosmose were randomly divided into experimental group (n = 40 ) and control group (n = 40). The experimental group received Shu Kang Bo hydrogel paste, while the control group was treated with Mucopolysaccharide Polysulfate Cream. The treatment effects of both groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group and the control group was 100% and 85%, respectively, and there was significant difference between both groups (X^2 = 8. 7961, P 〈 0. 05 ). The average time of therapy was (40.2±4.8 ) hours for the experimental groups ( 63.5±6.4 ) hours for the control group, and there was significant difference between them (X^2 = 5.115, P 〈 0, 05 ). Conchlsions Shu Kang Bo hydrogel paste could effectively treat superficial phlebitis caused by drug exosmose, therefore it is worthy of clinical application. Key words: Superficial phlebitis; Shu Kang Bo hydrogel paste; Mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream
